FAQ
Do I need to be “good at art” to try art therapy?
Not at all. Art therapy is about expression, not artistic skill. Any level of artmaking is welcome, and there is no right or wrong way to create.
I have worked with individuals aged
from 3 to 80, all with vastly different experiences of creativity, and the focus is always on the process rather than the outcome.
How do online sessions work?
We’ll meet over a secure video platform (I’ll send all the info when you book). You’ll need:A computer or tabletA stable internet connectionA few basic art materials (paper, pens, pencils, paints- whatever you’ve got)If you're in the UK and don’t have materials, I can post you a little art pack to get you started!

What Kind of Art Will We Be Doing?
That’s totally up to you! Some people enjoy drawing or painting, others like collage, working with clay, or simply doodling while we chat. You don’t need any fancy supplies, just whatever feels comfortable and sparks your curiosity. Our sessions can be guided by me, or you can take the lead, whatever feels right and comfortable for you. The focus is always on your experience and expression, not on creating a masterpiece.

Who owns the artwork created in the sessions?
Everything you create in the sessions belongs entirely to you. What happens to your artwork after the session is completely your choice. I’m happy to securely store pieces if that feels
most comfortable, and I will never take photographs of your work without your permission.
